They were quick get our orders and friendly. The burger was amazing as were the fries. Definitely coming again.

Beer selection was extensive and the burger was absolutely incredible! Looking forward to going back to this place again soon

So many drinks and beers to be had. I just found out they serve food and brunch on Sunday's. How cool is that?!

We were on a 9 day road trip and was in El Paso for the NYE. We found this spot when we were looking for a restaurant/bar to be at for the new year's countdown. They have amazing drink options (beers & hard liquor). Their food was very good and so was their service. I would definitely recommend this place.

Strange little hipster bar with a curious cuisine, but an awesome selection of craft beer. What a cool place. Be sure to grab a short while you're there.

Great food but is really small so it’s not good to be shareable, they have a really big variety of beer and good music.

I only had the wings, and the sauce was very tasty. Not your typical buffalo vinegar flavors. More complex elevated buffalo sauce with a smoke, very slightly sweet savory flavor. The house ranch complimented the wings very well. My friend had the cheeseburger and it looked amazing, very juicy but did not actually taste it. He approved it to being very juicy and tasty. I will be going back to try it myself.. more to follow.Also has a great selection of beer.

Cool place to get good food and drinks!

Food and drinks were great! They had both vegan options and non-allergenic options which is nice touch for a bar. It only received 4 stars from me because the server wasn't very attentive.

I frequent Hoppy Monk about twice a month and usually with a group of 2-5 other people. It is always a great experience here! Good drinks, vegan friendly food, and I love the server I usually get, Matt! The drinks here are unique and delicious, the food is well worth the price, and I am always served quickly and precisely.

My favorite spot to hit up every time I hit El Paso. The food is amazing, best veggie burger I ever ate and the fried chicken and biscuits Amazing. The beer selection is off the chain, so many to choose from. Never could just pick 1

Great drink specials, shot & a beer for 5 bucks, can’t beat that. Tucked in the hot spot of west ELP, this place offers a great brunch!

The atmosphere, the burgers, the beer oh my! There are good restaurants, and there are good bars, then there's the Hoppy Monk. The food is amazing, the beer (especially the flights, which is an order of 5 5oz beers) is spectacular, and the atmosphere couldn't be better. I'll be coming back soon, even if it is over 100 miles from home.

The blue fox burger is my favorite burger in El Paso, and the mushroom appetizer makes for an amazing start to any meal. Great place, amazing selection on tap. I just wish they were able to open.

I order sweet potato fries, brussel sprouts, a margarita Sandia. The food was delicious and my drink came out perfect. Our waiter was Matt. He was awesome. Love the atmosphere of the place. Super chill.

If I haven't shared about this place yet, then now is a good time. They have an amazing selection of beer which their German beer on tap is stellar! Great atmosphere, wonderful staff, and a pretty comfy patio! I love this place!

Absolutely amazing place to eat and drink, featuring a bewildering variety of craft beers, many types of bourbon and whiskey, and even some wines. First class burgers and other types of food on a casual setting. No wonder Chili's and Applebees are facing hard times. Places like The Hoppy Monk elevate eating out to an entirely new level.

Fantastic food and large beer selection. All the staff was great. No long waits, fast service, beer samples to make sure you get what you want.

Great beer, great food! A mind boggling selection of draught beers, well explained by our knowledgeable server. Each served in glassware to enhance the particular characteristics of each brew, it's obvious the proprietors are passionate about great beer!My only disappointment was that I couldn't try them all... We enjoyed 4 vegetarian appetizers, way plenty for two. Hot and crispy sweet potato fries were the most traditional but certainly not mundane. Roasted Brussels sprouts were delicious. Belgian ale breaded mushrooms were a must have, crunchy outside and savory, juicy and flavorful inside. Hard to choose but the generous portion of cauliflower wings were a surprise hit. Came for the novelty, stayed for the spicy goodness-yummy! Too bad I live 2000 miles away. Another reason to be jealous of the lucky inhabitants of El Paso!

Fantastic variety of beers available. The service is pretty good and the Building architecture is very interesting. Really like this place. Not that crazy about the price of beer, but a great place none the less

Food: excellent choices - limited menu, which is good. The rabbit tacos were just ok. Burgers were excellent.Drinks: craft beer selection is worth checking out. Great selection of rare liquor (tequilas, whiskeys, etc).Service: could be faster at the bar. If you aren’t a regular it can be slow. One particular bartender was quite attentive but the rest just pass by without asking if you need anything. Overall worth checking out but many other places to try that are much more worth it.

I really enjoyed my experience at the Hoppy Monk today. Great service, tasty food, and a cool atmosphere is sure to make me a regular for food and drinks. I picked out the fish and chips from the diverse menu. They had a great taste and it was a good sized portion. I also tried out the Mez Flight. It was an interesting taste of tequilas not commonly known. They have an extensive collection of spirits and beer on tap. Overall the service was great, my pregnant wife was able to get some hot water, lemon, and honey for her sore throat. Thanks to Kaley for making the experience great. In conclusion I will be a regular and I look forward to tasting everything on the menu and going after the huge beer selection.

What a wicked place! Such a fantastic selection of brews and spirits. The food was excellent too! Highly recommended as a place to meet friends!

This is the only bar/restaurant I will drive from Las Cruces for solely to enjoy the good beer, burgers and ambience. I have been a customer here since they opened and it was here that I discovered my favorite beer (it was one of their rotators at the time). The Bacon & Egg burger is my favorite, with the fish and chips a close second. The staff is always great and there has never been a long wait for food. My only complaint is that smoking is allowed in the outdoor dining area. I feel that restricting smoking in that area would make the patio a perfect place to enjoy a burger and beer while enjoying El Paso's glorious summer evenings (especially considering most places ban it these days).

This is one of my favorite places to visit every time I'm in El Paso! I love that they have vegan and vegetarian options. Their cauliflower wings are A-mazing!!! I've never been disappointed. And they make a great Old Fashioned.

Always amazed at how good the food is here. The drink selection is also extremely wife. Think world of beer, but hipster and better.

Great beer selection! Many unique draft beers. They feature beers by independently owned craft breweries.The good here is great as well. Twists on the same old "bar food". This place is correctly billed as a "gastropub"!

😍 this small business committed to delivering quality spirits! We were able to locate all our favorites and the service was impeccable. Our bartender made some great recommendations and we made some new favorites. Place is perfect for meeting friends and a casual late night with your loved one. Only opportunity- Menu doesn't offer many shareables.

Amazing food and great beer.

I really enjoyed the food here and LOVED the strawberry beer. It's the best I've had. Great burgers for meat eaters and vegans. Sever was friendly but took awhile to get our checks back to us. It's a loud busy bar so prepare for that. Lots of seating.

Solid local beer selection. Amazing Ruben sandwich meal. Great service. Has darts and an outside area. If you are a local you know this, but for people on business trip -- will not disappoint.

I had some awesome rabbit tacos. The fries were fried to perfection, golden and crisp. The smoked Oaxacan old fashion was a good cocktail. I didn't quite like the old fashion, but that's on me. If you like bitter sweet cocktails then it's for you.

Stopped for a quick bite to eat while on the road to Austin. Really great selection for beer and gastro pub style food. Really friendly and knowledgeable servers. Wasn't crowded for a weekend afternoon. Sat outside on a nice day. The tap handle fountain that they have was a pretty cool touch to the place. Never seen that before. The deep fried mushrooms are killer with the trio aioli sauce. Definitely going to visit again if ever in the area

Was just looking for a spot to to drink a good IPA, eat and chill. This place was exactly what I wanted and needed. Staff was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was so damn chill. Absolutely loved it and will definitely be back soon!

Best tacos I've had in a while!

Great craft beer selection and food. It was a little crowded when I went but not too loud. I ordered a few appeitzers the gochu wings and the mini burgers. The wings were a very good combination of sweet and spicy. I got the mini burgers because they had so many regular burgers I wanted to try this was a good way to try most of them. I also had the porky burger which was the only burger that wasn't park of the mini burger selection. It had a large piece of pork belly and the glaze on it was good. I also has the Mac of the moment with which changes daily.

Great beer, I tried the Texas Red and the wife tried Fruli Strawberry. My wife hates beer and really enjoyed the red. Will have to make this a stop next time we come to El Paso!

The blue fox burger is to die for!! Get the fries with roasted walnut aioli or umami aioli...or better yet, both!! Super nice and helpful staff makes everyone feel welcome and is always willing to get you samples. A great place to hang out with friends!

Always consistently good food. A small menu so everything appears to be fresh. Burgers are always spot on medium. Service is friendly and efficient. A great selection of beers. My only critique is that the beer needs to be served colder. A place that specializes in beetn should always have extremely cold tap beers and glasses. Half the time my beer has only been cool and not frosty. Glasses are never pre-chilled. The parking lot and driveway to enter and exit is a bit of a mess. Overall a great place and worth giving it a try.

This place’s food is delicious: if I ever come back to El Paso will return to this place for my first meal. Fell in love with their steak eye tacos and hibiscus smash. They were from fully and attentive. My finished plates were taken away in less than a minute. Thank you for your great service.

This is a DRINKs spot only!!!! The food is underwhelming for sure if you are a major foodie. Nothing was delivered hot! Crowded spot on a Saturday. The rabbit tacos were dry. The wings were not hot. The fries were soggy and the Brussel sprouts were flavorless. I would say this spot for beer only and liquor!

The rabbit tacos were one of several unique options, and the alcohol selection is very good. You can even pick out a great cigar here.

Hands down since I’ve moved here this is the best place I’ve eaten. The blue fox burger is amazing the variety of drinks they have to offer is great. If you want great food and drinks this is the place to come to.
